Gunhild Carling is a jazzmusician and multiinstrumentaslist originating from Gothenburg but at present she lives in Malmö. The main instrument is trombone but she happily picks up any instrument including trumpet, recorder, flute, oboem, saxophone and so on. The musical style of choice is swingmusic but when she picks up the harp och bagpipe(!) it will soon get really bluesy.
Gunhild (born 1975) was born into the jazzmusic and have been playing publically since 1982 with the band "Carling Family". The family band started out as a pure New Orleansband band playing at jazzclubs and festivals, but the reportoire has grown and now includes swing music and acrobatic acts.
Gunhild also leads her own band which has a stronger bias to swingmusic than traditional jazz.

During the years Gunhild have been appearing as guest with several bigband throughout the country and contributet with her energy to numerous jamsessions.
Carlings family band started in the early eighties and have grown together with the family. They have recorded a number of records and toured around scandinavia. In recent years the band have had great succes at jazzfestivals in germany.
